When people fit, they reveal their greatness. And that’s what compels us.
Finding leaders who grow great companies
Established in 2001, Jack Hammer is Africa’s largest executive search firm, and a partner of IRC – the world’s number 1 search network.
We believe great people grow great companies, and have earned a reputation for being the ‘go-to’ executive recruiters for the most challenging of search assignments in Africa – helping some of the region’s top corporations to find leaders for executive, senior management and board appointments.
With our head office in Cape Town, and additional offices in Johannesburg, Durban, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Egypt and DRC, we look beyond the obvious to find the kind of leaders who will thrive and drive your growth – knowing that when people fit, they reveal their greatness.
We are currently extending our footprint to the US, with our base in Los Angeles.
Jack Hammer is a Level 2 BEE Company.

We love kids. We love dance. So we’ve invested in them.
Garage Dance Ensemble
Most people don’t know where O’kiep is situated. But if you can find this town, turn first left at Hibiskus Lane to reach Garage Dance Ensemble, led by the illustrious Alfred Hinkel and John Linden. Walk into the studio, and you’ll see some of the country’s most talented and expressive young dancers, sweating away in class or rehearsal. They serve not only as performers and teachers, but also as role models and inspirational leaders in their community.
Indoni Dance, Arts & Leadership Academy
This group of young dancers is based in Gugulethu, led by Sbonakaliso Ndaba, a globally-renowned choreographer and masterful teacher, who is committed to empowering young adults through dance. To see them perform is to be blown away by their power, skill, and passion. They need funds to keep training and dancing.
Amongst the many organisations doing incredible work for impoverished children, Ikamva Labantu stands tall with a reputation for delivering on their promises of tangible and lasting value to their programme recipients. We support their Early Childhood Development programme.
Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator
Harambee wants to solve the youth unemployment challenge in SA by connecting employers looking for entry-level talent to high-potential youth who are hungry for opportunity. Since we’re interview experts at Jack Hammer, our team helps prepare these young people for that first, all-important meeting.
